Pipeline

Visual Kanban board for tracking leads through sales stages.

Overview

The Pipeline page provides a visual Kanban-style board to manage your sales process. Drag and drop leads between stages to track their progress from initial contact to conversion.

Key Features

  • Visual Kanban Board: See all leads organized by stage
  • Drag and Drop: Move leads between stages easily
  • Quick View: Preview lead details without leaving the pipeline
  • Stage Metrics: See count of leads in each stage

Pipeline Stages

Pipelines consist of customizable stages that represent your sales process:

šŸ’”
TipKeep your pipeline between 5-7 stages for optimal clarity. Too few stages lack granularity, while too many create confusion and slow down your team's workflow.

Default Stages (Example)

  1. New: Newly captured leads, not yet contacted
  2. Contacted: Initial contact has been made
  3. Qualified: Lead has shown interest and meets criteria
  4. Proposal: Proposal or offer has been sent
  5. Negotiation: In discussions about terms
  6. Won: Successfully converted to client
  7. Lost: Lead did not convert

The Kanban board provides a visual flow of your sales process:

Managing Pipelines

  4. Add stages in your preferred order

Editing Stages

  1. Go to Settings > Pipelines
  2. Select the pipeline to edit
  3. Add, rename, or reorder stages
  4. Set stage colors for visual organization

Setting Default Pipeline

  • Mark one pipeline as default for new leads
  • Default pipeline is used when no pipeline is specified

Best Practices

  1. Keep stages clear and distinct: Each stage should represent a clear milestone
  2. Limit stages to 5-7: Too many stages can be confusing
  3. Regular reviews: Review pipeline weekly to identify stuck leads
  4. Use priorities: Mark hot leads for quick identification
  5. Update promptly: Move leads as soon as their status changes
šŸ“§
NoteStage changes are logged automatically in the lead's activity history, so your team always has a complete audit trail of each lead's journey through the pipeline.
