Sub-IBs

Manage hierarchical partner relationships and commission allocation.

Overview

The Sub-IB Network allows you to create hierarchical partner relationships where one IB (Master IB) can have other IBs (Sub-IBs) underneath them. This enables multi-level commission structures and network growth.

Key Concepts

TermDescription
Master IBThe parent partner who has Sub-IBs underneath them
Sub-IBA partner assigned under a Master IB in the hierarchy
Commission AllocationThe percentage of commission the Sub-IB keeps vs what goes to Master IB

How Sub-IB Commissions Work

When a Sub-IB's referral makes a trade:

  1. Commission is calculated based on Sub-IB's level
  2. Sub-IB receives their allocated percentage
  3. Master IB receives the remaining percentage
                  +-------------------+
                  | Total Commission |
                  | (e.g. $10) |
                  +---------+---------+
                            |
              +-------------+-------------+
              | |
    +---------v---------+ +---------v---------+
    | Sub-IB Share | | Master IB Share |
    | 70% = $7.00 | | 30% = $3.00 |
    +-------------------+ +-------------------+

Example: If total commission is $10 and allocation is 70%:

  • Sub-IB receives: $7 (70%)
  • Master IB receives: $3 (30%)

  6. Click "Attach"

From Partner Details Page

Sub-IB Actions

For each Sub-IB relationship, you can:

  • View Details - See relationship info and commission history
  • Update Allocation - Change the commission split percentage
  • Suspend - Temporarily pause the Sub-IB relationship
  • Activate - Resume a suspended relationship
  • Terminate - Permanently end the relationship
  • Reassign - Move the Sub-IB to a different Master IB

Allocation Rules

  • Allocation must be between 0% and 100%
  • Higher allocation = more commission for the Sub-IB
  • Lower allocation = more commission for the Master IB
  • Changes take effect for future trades only
📧
NoteAllocation percentage changes only apply to future trades. Previously earned commissions retain their original split and will not be recalculated.

Network Visualization

The Network Tree shows:

  • Master IB at the top
  • Sub-IBs branching below
  • Referrals under each IB
  • Commission flow indicators

Settings

Configure Sub-IB features in Settings > Sub-IB:

  • Enable/disable Sub-IB functionality
  • Set default allocation percentage
  • Configure maximum network depth
  • Allow/disallow self-enrollment as Sub-IB

Best Practices

  1. Set clear allocation percentages that incentivize both Master IBs and Sub-IBs
  2. Use the network tree to visualize complex hierarchies
  3. Review inactive Sub-IB relationships periodically
  4. Document special arrangements in admin notes
  5. Consider performance when adjusting allocations
